We are looking to fill:

  • Part-Time Summer Retail Sales Employee

Job description

To be a customer service forward salesperson at our brick and Mortar in downtown Westerly. This person is responsible for great customer interactions through sales and operations/maintenance of the store and sales floor to ensure we can continue the best shopping experience. 

Requirements

  1. A positive attitude to provide a fun environment
  2. Willingness to engage in conversation with customers and eager to problem solve
  3. Able to utilize an ipad and understand a point of sale system
  4. Able to multitask between customers
  5. Able to lift 30 lbs. and handle surfboards and heavy/large artwork across the store for customers as well as to merchandise
  6. Some surfing and or ocean sports knowledge or experience isn't required, but highly recommended before applying.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Showing up on time and ready to go (dressed appropriately and accordingly) for each shift
  2. Opening and Closing procedures for the store
  3. Be responsible for new inventory and stocking the floor
  4. Daily maintenance of the sales floor, cleaning, and folding down the store for an optimal shopping experience
  5. Hitting sales goals with positive customer experiences

Physical Requirements

To be able to climb ladders to merchandise and help customers. To also be able to lift surfboards comfortably around the store for customers and to merchandise.
